What a shame! Great food but mismanaged and chaotic. If you're lucky enough to get decent service, then you'll enjoy the food. But there's a limit... waiting over an hour for fish and chips!! Then being told you are not welcomed back, and being kick out rudely! This restaurant doesn't merit your patronage. We are foodies and this restaurant rates very low because of their attitude of "if you don't like it leave" ! There are many other places that are as good or better, that will treat you properly! Service is a big part of the experience...you be the judge.

This local gem is well worth the drive...be sure to call ahead as it is a popular spot!!! Amazingly wonderful fish and chips, other equally amazing seafood with French and Portuguese flair, lovingly prepared by chef/owner Line and team. Literally have been dining here for years, always perfect. Great wine selection, great beers, Quebec cider. Disabled access. Highly recommend!

Awesome food and great service. I had the soup and salad and my wife had the salmon and both were good. Service is bilingual too.

I sat outside, at one of the three solid picnic tables, because it was such a lovely day. The food was very good. Fish and chips; the chips were really good, and the fish was cooked perfectly in a batter that didn't drown or hide the fish.

Delicious. Fairly robust menu specializing in seafood. Charming atmosphere and reasonable prices.Only one toilet in the place, though - hence 4 stars.

Amazing British cusine in a French locale, just minutes from my home.. :) THE most excellent Fish and Chipies and mashed green peas! It is definitely worth the drive from Ottawa if you are on the Ontario side.

Very good food, decent service. Three things that I thought were kind of weird. 1. I had to pay for a piece of bread to eat with my soup...... 2. I ordered 2 pieces fish and chip and my dad got 1 piece and his piece was as big as my 2 pieces combined. 3. You can upgrade your plate by replacing the fries forms salad (3$) witch is in reality salad leaves soaked in dressing, no veggies, no garnish...plain green leaves... Otherwise good experience

Nice spot. I was told by my friend that it is one of the best spots for fish and chips in the Ottawa area. Not so on our visit but as a fellow Nefie, Ill take his word for it. Very polite and attentive service. I will return.

I really like this restaurant. Great food. Great service. They accommodate gluten free and other allergies easily and readily.

Decided to celebrate my birthday at Le Resto best fish & chips. Not a very big place so make reservations are recommended. The staff are very nice and the food is delicious.

Le Resto is well known for their fish and chips and with good reason. It was among the best fish and chips I've had. Made with fresh cod it was delicious. I also had the caesar salad with lardon bacon which was really, really good.

Sadly disappointing. I used to love this place but the service, price, and quality of food have suffered. It's still good though, just not great anymore. It's very average. The salmon fresh enough but was very bland like it was never seasoned. You can get a better service and value for your money elsewhere. Make this restaurant your last choice when in Chelsea. If you're looking for good seafood prepared on point with good flavour, try the Fish Market on Merivale in Ottawa. If you're dinning in Chelsea and are looking for a comparable price point, try the Manchester or Chelsea Pub. Both are better. My preference is the Chelsea Pub which btw is not just pub food.

Wife and I had a great meal here. The fresh bread and cream of cauliflower soup was an excellent appetizer, followed by great entrees: solid Fish and Chips, and a tasty salmon on a bed of greens. Everything tasted fresh and prepared with care. The place is small and cozy, and has a friendly ambience. It is clear that the owner cares and enjoys serving his guests.

one of my favorite seafood restaurants in NA, it serves home made clam-chowder. and very classic loction.

I wish I could leave no stars. The so called basket case "Owner" needs to be locked up and the key thrown away. The worst experience ever! Stay away from this looney house and just go to the Manchester pub down the road for REAL fish and chips in a traditional pub atmosphere instead of some artificial tacky plastic dive!

Best fish and chips I’ve had.A little pricey, but worth it.

Asked for ice tea when ordering meal, received a Long Island iced tea. Made sure to confirm the mix up but the place still had the nerve to charge for it when we gave back the drink and decided to stick with water. I didn’t fuss as we were already uncomfortable they apparently kick people out who complain. Very uncomfortable setting and unprofessional. I’d rather go with an original like lapointe’s over the bridge and get an actually 6 ounce fish and chip.

Awesome fish and chips! The fish quality is outstanding, the portion is large and the batter holds up perfectly. Fries are fantastic. Will go again soon
